30 Milla de Berango: all the pictures

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Our brand proudly shone at the Milla de Berango 2017. The event, sponsored by Ideus, brought together the elite of athletics where Solange Pereira and Adel Mechaal stood out.

The light rain, which fell throughout the morning, gave a respite to the afternoon and respected the race completely for the joy of runners and a dedicated public who approached the Biscayan town of Berango to see the best urban race in Spain according to the RFEA.

And of course we enjoyed the race. In the men’s category a frantic rhythm prevailed. So much so that the Moroccan athlete Adel Mechaal, based in Barcelona, achieved a record of 4:18, equaling the record of the event organized by Berango Atletismo Taldea.

In the women’s category, the top favorite, Solange Pereira, offered a full recital. Although it is true, she didn’t surprise anyone, the Portuguese has us more than used to it, because with this triumph she signed her fifth consecutive victory in Berango and seventh overall.

Here are the results:

Male category

  1. Adel Mechaal 4:18
  2. Saúl Ordóñez 4:19
  3. Daniel Arce 4:20

Female category

  1. Solange Pereira 5:02
  2. Esther Guerrero 5:03
  3. Marta Pérez 5:03

But not only did we see the elite compete, athletes from different categories showed their hard work in Berango. Among them we would like to highlight the athletes of the Saiatu-Javi Conde paralympic athletics school, with whom we collaborated in their already famous solidarity marathons and whom we were able to greet on the circuit. It is a pleasure to collaborate with projects that combine sport and solidarity.

We remain with the words of the president of the organizing committee, ex-athlete Josu Hernandez:”the 30 years weighs heavily on the backpack”, but “the illusion and passion for athletics is so great”, that he is already “thinking about the 2018 edition”. And so are we.

The Mile was really exciting and these photos of the event prove it.
